2 Days Hangzhou Essence Tour

Day-by-day Itinerary

1. Day 1: Hangzhou
   West Lake, Guo Garden, China National Tea Museum, Leifeng Pagoda (Lunch)

   AM: In the morning, our guide and driver will greet you at your hotel or Hangzhou train station by holding the name board. Your tour will begin with a 45 minutes boat ride on the West Lake which is ringed by hills on three sides. On the boat you will pass by some of the highlight sites of the lake: the historic pagodas, the traditional Chinese style arched bridges, tree-lined walkways, green islands and gardens, etc. The boat riding will end at Flower Harbor Park Wharf. You may meet many kinds of flowers. And you will make a stop at the Red Carp Pond for fish watching. Afterward to a visit to traditional Chinese style Guo Garden which was built in the Late Qing Dynasty at 1907 by a local silk merchant named Song Ruifu.

   Noon: Lunch at local restaurant.

   PM: After lunch, pay a visit to China National Tea Museum to learn about the history of tea and tea culture in China. After that we will continue to visit Leifeng Pagoda which was originally built in 975 by the local governor to celebrate his son’s birth. Now the pagoda is a symbol of Hangzhou City. It stands on bank of the West Lake and is well known among all Chinese people due to the TV program Baishe Zhuan. Taking an elevator to the top of the pagoda, tourists could have an overlook of the West Lake. Back to hotel.

2. Day 2: Hangzhou
   Lingyin Temple, Bamboo lined path at Yunqi, Meijiawu Tea Village, Six Harmonies Pagoda, Song Dynasty Street (Lunch)

   AM: At about 09:00 please meet our guide and driver in your hotel lobby. Then drive to pay a visit to the 1700 years old Lingyin Temple, one of the top sites to go in Hangzhou. Nowadays the Linyin Temple keeps about 470 Buddhist figures which can be dated back to the 10^th-14^th centuries. After then take a walk on the Bamboo Lined Path at Yunqi to enjoy some relaxing and tranquil time.

   Noon: Lunch at local restaurant.

   PM: In the afternoon, pay a visit to Six Harmonies Pagoda on the north bank of Qiantang River. In 970 of the Song Dynasty, to stop the tidal bore, local governor built the pagoda. After that we will pay a visit to the Meijiawu Tea Village where you will witness the vast tea plantation, watch the tea making process and you could optionally try some freshly made Longjing Tea. At last take a walk on the north part of Zhongshan Road which is also known as the Song Dynasty Imperial Street. In the old Chinese style street you will meet lots of local food and snacks. After the tour, transfer back to hotel or train station.
