- Day 1: Tianjin Port to Beijing Tour
When you debark from the cruise ship at Tianjin Port, your private Beijing local driver will wait for you at the exit by holding a name sign and transfer you to the Beijing downtown hotel. - Day 2: Beijing Highlights TourDiscover the Mysterious Royal Culture and Enjoy a Scenic Great Wall Hike
After breakfast, your private guide and driver will greet you at your hotel lobby. We will begin the Beijing day tour with a visit to the largest city square in the world - Tiananmen Square. It is the heart and symbol of Beijing. Understand the significant events that have occurred in this square over the past century.
Then, walk for 10 minutes to the famous Forbidden City. Aka the Palace Museum, it is one of the largest and most completely preserved palace complexes built of wood. As the imperial palace in the Ming and Qing Dynasties (1368-1912), there were twenty-four emperors of the two dynasties once lived here. Your knowledgeable tour guide will tell you more facts about this magnificent palace.
Forbidden City After lunch, we drive to the Mutianyu Great Wall, which offers a good chance to see the urban and suburban scenery of the Chinese capital. With a total length of 5,400 meters, Mutianyu is the longest Great Wall of China. On the Great Wall, you can admire the magnificent architecture like watch towers and beacon towers. It is surrounded by beautiful scenery, making it a perfect environment for hiking. If hiking is hard for you, there are also cable cars and toboggans to get up and down the mountain (optional).
At the end of the Great Wall tour, your guide and driver will escort you back to your hotel.
