This 5 days Hulunbuir Grassland tour will take you to explore the best culture and nature highlights on the vast grassland. Follow a local expert guide, you will head to Oruguya Ewenki Ethnic Tribe which is the last tribe in China raising reindeer. And have a family visit in a local Russian ethnic village. It is a memorable experience to try some of the locals’ daily activities, such as making Dalieba Bread, riding a horse to get to the hinterland of the grassland, playing Russian games, etc.

Day-by-day Itinerary
- Day 1: Hailar Arrival
Welcome to this 5 days Hulunbuir Grassland tour! Take your flight to Hailar and our driver will pick you up at the designated time.
Note: If you arrive at the airport beyond the designated pick-up time, you can easily take a 10-minute taxi to your hotel.

- Day 2: Hulun Buir - Erguna - GenheHulunbuir Grassland, Erguna Wetland Scenic Area
After breakfast, we will drive for about 1 hour to the hinterland of Hulunbuir Grassland where you will be wowed by the magnificent grassland landscape. You will be left some free time to take great photos of the grassland, enjoy the charming Moergele River, have a leisurely stroll, or try some optional (charged) activities like taking a helicopter to fly over the prairie.
Hulunbuir Grassland Then, head to Erguna Wetland Scenic Area. As the largest wetland in Asia, Erguna Wetland will reward you with various bird species, lush forests, vast grasslands and meandering rivers.
After that, drive about 2 hours to Genhe City which is called “the Cold Pole of China”. Stay overnight in Genhe City.

- Day 3: Genhe - ShiweiOruguya Evenki Ethnic Tribe, Moridaga National Forest Park
Make a visit to Oruguya Evenki Ethnic Tribe this morning. Nestled in the Great Khingan Mountains, Oruguya Evenki Ethnic Tribe is said migrated from Siberia 300 years ago, it is now the only tribe in China raising reindeers. It will be such an enjoyable time here when you encounter many cute reindeer up close, admire the charming sea of forests, and communicate with locals.
Reindeers in Oruguya Evenki Ethnic Tribe Afterward, a 1.2 hours drive will take you to Moridaga National Forest Park. Here you can take a forest train through forests, bridges, hillsides, and enjoy the stunning scenery of primitive natural ecology.
Drive to Shiwei for overnight at the end of the day.

After a good night’s sleep in a Russian ethnic village, you will feel energized to try the exciting horseback riding through grassland, wetland, and lush birch forests.
Horseback riding in Russian ethnic village At 12:00 pm, enjoy a scrumptious afternoon tea at a pristine area. Then, follow your guide to visit a Russian family. You can learn to make Dalieba Bread, taste some authentic Russian dishes, and join locals to play some Russian games.
After that, drive to Heishantou, and stay overnight in a ger.

Russian ethnic village - Day 5: Heishantou - Hailar
After breakfast, the pleasant morning is free for you to try Mongolian costumes, feed sheep, watch wrestling, learn archery, or ride a mini oil barrel train for sightseeing.
Afterward, you driver will drive you to Hailar Airport (about 2 hours' drive) for your departure flight.
