Shanghai EXPO Latest News (06/17/2010) (1). Girl power rocks Japan Industry Pavilion Girls’ fashion, girl idols and girls’ makeovers -- the girl power is rocking the Japanese Industry Pavilion. The Japanese Industry Pavilion Theme Week started today with the “Latest Japanese Trend Hair & Make up Stage” show on JAL Stage. From today to June 27, the pavilion will bring more “pretty, cute, comfortable ” girly fashion trends -- so-called “J-feel.” Japanese stylist Soah, a rising star shining both in Tokyo and Paris fashion circles, and Japan Make up Association A-rated lecturer Hibi Akemi bring audience the latest hair and make up trends from Japan. Hibi Akemi showed three styles of girls -- mori girls (natural and forest style), street gals and sweet princess. Soah’s models dressed in Japan’s traditional costume yugata and wore chic make up and hair. Soah said that she wishes to express the Japanese fashion to the whole world at the World Expo 2010. Organisers, commissioners general meet The fourth conference of the Steering Committee of the Constituent Session of the College of Commissioners General of Expo 2010 Shanghai China took place in the Expo Center today, during which the organizers explained some specific rules and issues in response to participants' enquiries. Topics varied from Expo operations in May, issuing of Expo staff passes, rules on green channel accesses at pavilions, time table for Expo staff's shuttle buses and time for the next meeting. They also discussed VIPs' receptions in the site and parking area for Expo participants' vehicles. Participants appreciated the organisers' efforts to tackle problems and for running a smooth Expo so far. Commissioners general from countries such as Algeria, Belgium, China, Croatia, Denmark, Bosnia and Herzegovina, France, Italy, Romania, Mauritania, Seychelles, South Africa, Spain, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Turkey attended the meeting. Commissioner general of UN Pavilion attended the session as an observer. The session was hosted by Hiroshi Tsukamoto, chairman of the Steering Committee of Commissioners General of Expo 2010 Shanghai China and commissioner general of Japan. Hua Junduo, China's commissioner general for World Expo 2010, Hong Hao, director of the Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination, and Huang Jianzhi, deputy director general of the bureau, Shao Huixiang, deputy director general of the bureau, were present at the meeting.
