3 Days Zhangjiajie Private Tour: China Avatar Discovery

Day-by-day Itinerary

1. Day 1: Arrival in Zhangjiajie
   Experience the Longest Cableway in the World at Mt. Tianmen

   So honored to have you on our 3-day Zhangjiajie private tour! Please book your flight arriving in Zhangjiajie before 12:00 noon. Upon your arrival, your local guide will greet you at the exit of arrival hall by holding a name sign.

   Then, you will be transferred to explore Tianmen Mountain. You will take the 7,455-meter-long cable car, the longest one in the world up to the top of the mountain for 28 minutes. Appreciate the amazing scenery and take photos of the coiling road of 99 turns on the way.

   Walk on the thrilling glass skywalk and Ghost Valley Plank Road hanging on the cliff and visit Tianmen Mountain Temple. The temple was built in the Tang Dynasty (618-907) and became the center of Buddhism activities in western Hunan.

   Next, get to Tianmen Cave, a natural water-eroded cave with the highest elevation in the world. You can conquer the 999 steps to Tianmen Cave and enjoy the wonderful scenery from above.

   Please note: Due to the heavy snow or severe cold weather in winter, Tianmen Cave and Ghost Valley Plank Road may be closed. Your tour guide and consultant will adjust your itinerary accordingly.

2. Day 2: Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon Tour
   Challenge to Walk on the World's Longest & Highest Transparent Glass Bridge

   After breakfast, your guide and driver will pick you up from hotel lobby and directly head to Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon. It is a landform museum of Zhangjiajie, integrating mountains, rivers, and caves. In the valley, you can see monkeys jumping and birds singing, and the reflection of green and steep mountains in the clear water.

   Zhangjiajie Glass Bridge, a highlight of the Canyon, is the longest and highest glass bridge in the world with a length of 430 meters. You can have a panoramic view of flying waterfalls, lush forests, running streams when walking on the transparent glass floor.

   After that, we will drive around 1 hour and 20 minutes to Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. It’s the first national forest park in China and was included in World Natural Heritage List in 1992 for the queer forest of quartz sandstone peaks. Here you will enjoy a 2-hour hike along the Golden Whip Stream, one of the most beautiful sites in Zhangjiajie. Just listen to the murmurs of the stream, stroll along the valley, and stop to watch the fish swimming in the crystal-clear water. After the whole day tour, board the private car back to hotel.

3. Day 3: Departure from Zhangjiajie
   Take the Highest Outdoor Elevator in the World for the Hallelujah Mountain

   Please meet your guide at hotel lobby after breakfast. Today, your Zhangjiajie tour continues in Zhangjiajie National Park. We will start at Tianzi Mountain. Take a sightseeing bus to the mountain top. You will witness rugged rocks and a forest of stone peaks. One of the spectacular sights is the sea of clouds after rain if you are lucky. After the visit, take a cable car down the mountain.

   Next, go to explore Yuanjiajie, the inspiration for Hallelujah Mountain in the super famous movie Avatar. You can experience Bailong Elevator, the highest and heaviest outdoor elevator in the world. When you step out of the elevator, a magical landscape painting will unfold in front of you. The massive quartz-sandstone pillars are just towering over you or next to you.

   After that, you will be transferred to Baofeng Lake, the only water themed scenic spot in Zhangjiajie. You can have a pleasant cruise watching the peaks being reflected on the lake and enjoying the folk songs from local Tujia minority girls in traditional costumes.

   At the end of the Zhangjiajie tour package, your guide and driver will transfer you to catch your departure flight. Our service will end here. Wish you a pleasant journey.
